Advantages of cutting in water/abrasive process:
- High quality of the cut off edges
- Cutting process high precision
- Versatility of applications
- Capability of cutting the materials of considerable thickness,
- Cutting costs - lower than the costs of laser cutting in the case of cutting the pieces of over 4-5 mm thick, lower than the costs of traditional cutting and processing methods,
- short time of order fulfilling
- low temperature of the process - max. 40°C (avoids the risk of material facture changes, does not deform thermally the edges of the cut out piece).
The limit is the necessity of using only flat surface of the material to be cut and the fact that the cut goes through the entire material.
Using this technology while manufacturing pieces means the possibility of making precise pieces in any shape as single parts as well as serial parts of various materials.
Cutting with waterjet provides an exceptional opportunity of perfect joining various materials to obtain original visual and usable effects.
Pieces sizes (on surface):
max: 2×3 m
Max. precision of manufacture
+/- 0.1 mm along the X,Y axis per 1000 mm
Waterjet diameter/water with abrasive
0.2-0.5 mm in the case of cutting with waterjet,
0.7-1.5 mm In the case of cutting with waterjet with abrasive (metal, thick glass)
Thickness of the material for cutting
Up to 80 mm in the case of metals and 150 mm in the case of plastics
Number of pieces:
Individual and series
Material:
Delivered, a possibility to buy the material by our Company (upon request)
Service time:
Max. 2 weeks, in particular cases it is possible to have the pieces cut out within 1 day or just on the spot.
Service costs
depends on the required finish quality of particular edge surfaces of the piece, its thickness and the kind of material. The document that has been sent to us, preferably in the format of *.dxf (AutoCAD) or any other document specifying the piece to be cut along with any additional data relevant to the cutting process will allow us to find the optimal combination of pressure(maximum pressure approx. 3500 atm.), cutting speed and the use of abrasive (special sand - garnet mixed with water in the case of cutting hard materials), which will be the optimal combination of costs and expected quality.
We divide the cost of cutting into 1 running meter and it depends on the combination of the three factors defined as above – pressure, cutting speed, and a quantity of abrasive. This combination is fixed on the basis of the piece shape, number of holes inside, kind and thickness of the material and individual needs of the customer regarding the required edge surface of the piece.
In the case of cutting a significant number of identical pieces the unit cost may be much lower than the cost of cutting one single piece.
